A Thinking Environment®
A Thinking Environment® is a powerful framework for thinking. It comprises a set of ten behaviours, now known as The Ten Components of a Thinking Environment. These are:
• Attention
• Equality
• Ease
• Appreciation
• Encouragement
• Feelings
• Information
• Diversity
• Incisive Questions™
• Place
In the presence of these ten behaviours people think for themselves with rigour, imagination, courage and grace. What helps people to think creatively for themselves is not power, IQ or experience but the way people are treated when they are engaged in their own thinking ~ the impact of our behaviour with others when they are thinking is that important.
An underlying concept of a Thinking Environment® is recognition that to develop organisational and individual effectiveness, people must think for themselves ~ every day, every meeting, every interaction.
At 360 Degree People all our coaching and organisation development practice is grounded in the philosophies of a Thinking Environment®. Rob Brown and Pat Carr are two of forty worldwide registered Thinking Environment Coaches and Consultants and two of only three in the north of England. Their place on the Time to Think Register indicates that they are up to date with the latest research and practice of Thinking Environment® expertise and are in regular supervision and development.

TRANSFORMING MEETINGS™
How often have you been part of a meeting;
That is unproductive?
Where participants interrupt, monopolise the air time or conversely rarely contribute?
