Discovery
Before undertaking any activity we will run a “discovery session” with you or your business to establish your objectives and aspirations. This might be as simple as an informal meeting for our 121 coaching or a series of more structured activities from our ongoing programmes. The outcome will be to set clear goals that will map the personal and managerial effectiveness development for you or your people from that point onwards. The objective of 360° People is to help you see how you can make changes now and in the future without having to stay dependent on our expertise. The role we take is one of guiding you through a process of discovery, engagement and dialogue in which you can start to find the answers to your questions and implement solutions that will be enduring and productive.
During this stage of assessing your needs we will focus on collecting important data that both provides us with essential information about the issues and as importantly begins to build a constructive relationship between you and 360° People.
Understanding Your Context
Before we agree on the activities that are going to help you, we need to understand the context you are working in. Are you self employed? Part of a larger organisation? What sector you are in? What are the internal and external challenges facing your business and the organisation that you are part of? How does all of that impact on you and your people?
Understanding Your Reality
Here we explore what the current reality is for you. What is working well for you? What is causing you pain? What is happening that might be adversely affecting your bottom line? What are your business objectives? It’s important that we guide you supportively through this process and often it helps for us to redefine the problem using our external perspective.
Understanding Your Goal
And finally at this stage it is crucial that you determine your goal. What is it that you want to achieve? Is it developing your team so that they can work more cohesively together? Are you in a new leadership role and want a personal strategy for making the best first impression and impact in the organisation? Are you new to managing people and want to acquire a credible suite of management skills? Perhaps the new role of your team requires them to present publicly on a regular basis? The heart of any personal development journey requires you to have a goal or set of goals. Only then will you be able to measure your (and our!) success.
